Kathy Joy is a retired educator from Philadelphia, PA. Learning from the Impressionist masters; Cezanne, Monet and Cassatt she draws her inspiration from the expressive qualities of light, color and composition. Kathy Joy uses Cezanne’s art palette to mix colors as she sees them with her own eyes.

Her pieces consist of landscapes and studio still life. The art evokes simplicity with its use of color, however the outcome is rich in it’s complexity.

Kathy Joy was mentored by Edward Loper, Sr, of the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.

Kathy Joy has been selected to participate in various juried art shows along the East Coast. She currently paints “en plein air” in Palm Beach County and resides in Boynton Beach, FL.
